Terms of Service

These terms govern Tom, the personal assistant service operated by Matias Langsam.
The service
Tom is an assistant you reach by text message and by Telegram. It sets reminders, keeps a task list, saves notes and answers questions. It is operated by a sole proprietor, is provided free of charge, and is currently available by invitation only.
Messaging terms

| Carriers | Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. |
Acceptable use
Tom is not used to send marketing, promotional, bulk or unsolicited messages, and never messages a number that has not confirmed enrolment from that handset. Subscribers may not use the service to break the law, to harass anyone, or to attempt to reach another subscriber's data.
Fair use
Each subscriber has a daily message limit, so that one account cannot exhaust the service for everyone. If you reach it, the assistant tells you and resumes the next day.
Availability
The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It depends on third-party providers and may be interrupted, limited or discontinued at any time. Reminders and other messages may be delayed or fail to arrive; nothing important should rely on it alone.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.
Ending access
You may leave at any time by replying STOP. The operator may end access for anyone who breaches these terms, or discontinue the service entirely, with notice by text where practical.
Changes
These terms may be updated; changes appear on this page with a new date above.

The laws of the State of New York, United States.
